Breast Screening

NHS Breast Screening Programme

Will you be attending your breast screening appointment?

All eligible women between ages 47-73 registered with North Manchester GP practices in the Cheetham, Crumpsall & Higher Blackley areas, are currently being invited to attend for a mammogram (breast x-ray) at the mobile breast screening unit at North Manchester General Hospital.  The screening unit will be there throughout the months of August 2014 to October 2014 situated behind the postgraduate centre, at the entrance/exit road onto Delauneys Road.

The aim of the screening is to detect breast cancer at an early stage and early detection may mean simpler and more successful treatment and saving lives.

If your appointment is not convenient for you, then please contact the screening office on 0161 291 4444 to change it, or visit their website at www.breast-screening.uhsm.nhs.uk and complete the on-line ‘change your appointment form’.
