Practice Doctors

As well as the three permanent Partners there are two salaried General Practitioners and several Doctors undergoing training to become General Practitioners. 

The Partners at the Surgery are: 

Dr Arthur S Finke MB ChB, DRCOG, MRCGP

Dr Finke trained at Leeds University Medical School qualifying in 1985. He is a GP Trainer as well as teaching Undergraduates for the University of Manchester Medical School. Dr Finke was a Clinical Lecturer at the University of Manchester until 2014. He holds a post as a Hospital Practitioner in Children's Respiratory Medicine at the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital. Dr Finke is also an Appraiser for General Practitioners in the Manchester area.


Dr Siema Iqbal MB ChB, Dip FP, MRCOG, MRCGP


Dr Iqbal was born in Manchester and studied Medicine at the University of Manchester. She worked as a hospital Doctor in the North West region before training to become a GP. She is a Partner and a GP Trainer.  In the past she appeared on the DM Digital channel with her own live TV medical series. Dr Iqbal's wish is to give back to the community she grew up in and regularly undertakes work to raise money for charities both in the UK and abroad as well as working with ethnic communities to promote health and well-being. In 2014 she launched Doctor Aesthetics whilst continuing to be a busy Mum to two boys.  



Dr Athar Mukhtar MBBS, MRCGP

Dr Mukhtar trained in Pakistan and qualified in 2001. He worked as a hospital doctor for more than 10 years before

becoming a General Practitioner in 2015, He particularly enjoys teaching and is currently training to become a GP Trainer.

He enjoys spending time with his family and has a keen interest in racquet sports and snooker. He also helps out with the

local GP "Out of Hours" service.
